Summer FAQs
Yes, Alta Summer Hosts will be available on weekends and holidays at the Albion Base (Upper Albion meadows trailhead) from 8am-6pm
This money helps fund maintenance of the Summer Road, parking lots, trash removal, hiking trails and maintenance to bathroom facilities on-mountain. In past summers, Alta was not responsible for maintaining the summer road.
Free parking is available in the Town of Alta, Albion base area and the Wildcat base area.

Yes, winter season passes, information and public restrooms will be available at Skier Services in the Wildcat base area.
- Wildcat Business Office Hours: M–TH | 8am–4:30pm
The Wildcat base area, the Town of Alta and the Albion base area provide free trailhead parking. The Catherine's Pass and Cecret Lake trailheads via the Summer Road require a $10 amenity fee.
In recent years the Albion Basin has been over-loved. Vehicle access into the basin is limited to balance visitor use with available amenities with natural resource protection as the ultimate goal.
There will be limited food options at Alta this summer.
- The Alta Store is located in the Albion base area, serving grab-and-go snacks.
- The Gulch Pub at Snowpine Lodge is open daily from noon-9pm.
- Swen's Restaurant at Snowpine Lodge serves breakfast daily from 7-10am. Dinner is available Thursday-Sunday from 5-9pm.
- Sunday brunch at Alta Lodge is served from June 5th - October 9th from 9:30am-2pm.
